Poverty is becomes aggravated when there’s no cloth to cover the body. It will be a devastating experience if the children are living in an environment where the atmosphere is frigid. Many impoverished villages in Haiti are so impoverished that the people are either wearing tattered clothes or nothing. It’s so sad that many poor Haitian children don’t have clothes, so they often go without, except some that have an old, ragged tee shirt. As a result of going around without clothing, many children quickly contact diverse diseases from parasites and worms they encountered in the dirt they sit continually.

Clothing and other household items are severe issues here in Haiti. They are absolutely beyond the reach of these poor children. When they get these fabulous donations from you, it will be the first new clothing many children have ever received in a very long while. Isn’t that alarming? It’s true. Most low-income families in Haiti don’t have the financial capacity to afford proper clothing for their children. They neither have casuals nor corporate or lovely outfits to wear when they go to church; if they do, it is one cloth that was handed down to them from a tired wearer.

“When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’

—Matthew 25:38 40

It is such a fantastic joy to donate new clothing to the poor, both young and old, in Haiti. Most notably, little girls and teens are satisfactorily thrilled to have beautiful dresses on their bodies. What a delight! Join us in this great project with your kind donations, either cash or useful materials. Please bear in mind that people deserve the best.
