HAITI MISSION

We are a non-profit foundation with a passion for improving people’s quality of life. All of us in this Foundation share common values, including love for our neighbours (a core element of solidarity) and awareness of others’ needs. We feel responsible for the hardship of others.

Our goal is to professionally support those who participate in our vision, both economically and technically, with specialized programs.

OUR HISTORY

Illuminating lives Foundation is not our vision; It’s God’s vision. It all started in the Dominican Republic, where God gave the Illuminating Lives Foundation a vision to Sandra Tapia at the age of 17. Much later, a man of God from Haiti visited the US in search of the person God had told him would later start an orphanage in Haiti. Because it’s a vision born in the heart of God, Sandra, who had been consumed by the vision and great compassion, love, and kindness for vulnerable children in Haiti, was touched in the heart to communicate the vision to the man of God. He, who had been waiting all day for a God-led individual to share God’s vision with him, confirmed right there with a cry that God had told him the same, and the Foundation started.

Since then, Illuminating Lives Foundation had been sturdily committed to helping the poor children and families in Haiti live a standard and happy life in the present and shaping their lives for a better tomorrow. Presently, the Foundation aims to promote standard living by facilitating assistance to needy children and families and improve their well-being through the development and execution of effective life-changing programs that aid personal growth.

OUR BEGINNING:

At 17, God gave a vision to a teen from the Dominican Republic named Sandra Tapia. God had called Sandra on a mission to expand the Kingdom of God with the vision to give compassionate assistance to the needy and pierced her heart to help lives and raise a foundation in Haiti. In 2014, the vision became a reality. The Illuminating Lives Foundation was born in Haiti, an orphanage was built, and the mission began.

In 2020, this foundation has reached many other countries, such as Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. Our foundation and its members have the responsibility to promote the well-being of the children and families by serving to improve their quality of life.

OUR PRAYER

As a Christian organization, our central prayer to the Lord is to aid those in need of spiritual, physical, or financial issues to live happily and fulfilled. Illuminating Lives Foundation is committed to helping the most vulnerable people in our society – children. We are aware that many children worldwide are in need, and we aim to cater to all. However, we want to start by helping one of the world’s poorest nations – Haiti, where children have limited access to food, healthcare, education, housing, and other basic needs.

Illuminating lives Foundation has a team dedicated to praying for the donors and volunteers who donate to the foundation, whether regularly or periodically (even if you have once donated, we’ll continue to pray for you). I Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” This has been our watchword as we fervently pray day and night for our donors and everyone involved directly or indirectly with our organization.

OUR MISSION

Illuminating Lives Foundation is a faith-based organization dedicated to advancing the Kingdom of God through Evangelism, Education, Essential Services, Training, Partnering, and Financial Support. Through these programs, the Foundation assists and serve the most vulnerable children and the poor with acts of service and love.

Evangelism

By the preaching of the gospel, we are offering the greatest gift in the world. We share the gospel by public preaching and personal witness to share the message and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Essential Services

We are devoted to being a foundation that is more than words. We have provided clothing, medical assistance, food, and have constructed an orphanage in Haiti.

Partnering

There is a saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” By partnering with other agencies, churches, and missionaries, we help serve those in need as a collaborative whole.

Training

We believe that the equipping of volunteers, leaders, and pastors will help them live out their faith in Christ in tangible, relevant ways by servicing their communities

Financial Support

Providing financial support to the people who are on the ground working for a better future in the present. Through generous donations, we support those working fervently in these countries and continue to expand this Foundation.

Education

We want all children to learn and grow. The foundation "Illuminating Lives" recognizes the importance of education for the integral development of a child. Every year, our various programs contribute to this objective.

OUR VISSION

The vision of Illuminating Lives Foundation comes from Mathew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

The foundation aims to demonstrate the love of Christ, through the preaching of the gospel and acts of service, among the poorest children in the most impoverished nations. Our commitment is to reach these nations by these methods:
