There’s a report recently that most of Haiti students cannot read. However, some of the acclaimed factors include the fact that those educationally underperforming children come from illiterate homes where the parents can neither read nor write. However, the primary consideration has not been appropriately considered. Haiti’s children indeed need to be committed, trained teachers to prepare to give them the quality education they deserve, but wait a minute when the teachers are neither well paid nor well-fed; what would have them do?

Teaching is a kind of profession that needs absolute concentration and a proper frame of mind. An effective teacher provides effective learning. Furthermore, don’t forget that there is a severe shortage of teachers in Haiti, while schools are isolated. In this unfavourable situation, teachers have to travel to a long-distance to perform their daily duty. They don’t have the resources to do so due to fluctuating and improper payment of salaries and shortage of food.

OUT TEACHERS NEED YOU NOW

In light of the above mentioned, the Illuminating Lives Foundation has orchestrated a program to help teachers overcome their financial challenges, which we need donations to actualize effectively. The program is to feed the teachers adequately and empower them to sharpen their skills for better productivity. The program includes the provision of advanced training for teachers in all communities in Haiti and the provision of food assistance and, ultimately, to help solve their financial crisis. The teachers need us to carry out their daily assignments to the fullest.

Through these donations, our teachers will be nurtured, cared for, and equipped for better performance that would lead to better impartation on Haiti children and create a better future. We need you to take proper care of our caring teachers.
