ORPHANAGE
About 28 million children are homeless globally due to violence, abuse, poverty, conflict, and more. In the same vein, almost the same number had to abandon their homes, searching for a better life. In some cases, several natural disasters have led to the destruction of people ‘s homes and rendered innocent children parentless and homeless. Many children had to live without the care of their parents, suffering around like fugitive. They wander around the street looking for daily survival.
On a different note, the prevailing hard situation in some part s of the world that is hitting most parents the hardest made them send their children to the orphanage. Since they cannot afford to feed, provide food, clothes, play tools, or even enroll them in schools, many parents thought it wise to push their children to the orphanage. They believe that the orphanage will provide a better living experience for innocent kids. It’s not an assumption. Homeless children in every part of the world need urgent help.
At hand, the tragic situation demands a loving Christian home for the vulnerable children who are bitterly suffering from being abused, abandoned, enslaved, orphaned, malnourished, or deprived of adequate medical care. The Illuminating Lives Foundation is here to help restore hopes and better living in our best capacities. We are committed to reaching out to the vulnerable children in the love of Christ.
Because we understand the present troubling situation wrestling with many families, we run an orphanage called Children of Light Orphanage. We set up the orphanage to save the future of thousands of children who lost their parents to disastrous earthquakes, home violence, and abuse, or premature death from long-time starving.
We organized our orphanage to serve as an abode for the vulnerable homeless children at the risk of being kidnapped, abused, or manipulated into various ungodly acts.
We don’t only provide homes for orphans; through the help of many God-fearing parents who are endowed with divine love and compassion, we are dedicated to serving the orphans in every aspect. We provide them with parental love and care, a consistent tasty meal, quality education, attractive clothing, and other essentials they have been lost in their previous homes. At Children of Light orphanage, we nurture children with Christian love and make them walk through the godly path. We care more for the children’s future and destiny, and we are constantly working towards our ultimate goals.
Our orphanage is well constructed and managed to ensure that we give vulnerable children a more comfortable living. To further make life easier for the children in our orphanage, we have acquired a new place in a very conducive environment. Our caretakers are God-fearing and loving. Caring for children is their best ability.
Every month Children of Light Orphanage share thousands of food packages to many orphans in different communities, aside from the orphans in our orphanages. Every orphan in our home eats three healthy, tasty square meals per day. We ensure that we feed the orphans to satisfaction. It’s not a gainsaying; we provide maximum care and a stable lifestyle for the children beyond what they can get from their homes.
Our orphanage program also sees to giving quality education to the orphans. We care for the education of the orphans from kindergarten to tertiary level. Meanwhile, we don’t only care for the orphans in our orphanage alone. We reach out to many homeless orphans in different communities, showing them the acts of Christian love.
There’s never a dull moment for our children. We constantly provide them with interesting play tools to keep them active and excited.
The impacts of our orphanage in society
- Relief for parents.
For the children who still have parents (both or single), we enable their parents to focus on their works and other benefitting activities by taking their children’s responsibilities off their shoulders. Due to the prevailing chronic poverty, many parents struggle to provide for their families’ basic needs. Providing parental care for children protecting their lives is the major responsibility of parents. Taking these off their shoulders means a lot of relief. Most parents who visit our orphanage are always short of words. We help them provide the daily and basic needs of their children beyond their capacities. We are proud to be called the second parents of the orphans. It’s our core vision.
- Discovery of children’s potentials and life coaching.
Beyond the basic needs, we commit ourselves to bring out God’s purpose in the children’s lives. Spending quality time and deliberate efforts on every kid to discover their strengths and weaknesses remain our top priority. Our children are making exploits everything they partake. From excellent school performance to discovering talent and sharpening skills, we provide the necessary support to our children to become exactly what God wants them to be. We also serve as life coaches to the orphans, guiding them through the paths to their destiny. There’s a need for the little children to discover their purpose in life and advance towards the right destination. We help the orphans to become the person of their dreams and an object of honor in society.
- Building a sane society.
Many children who end up becoming a problem to society are the ones who lack adequate parental care. Many orphans who are not catered for have been abused and initiated into bad practices. Many of them grow to become political thugs, frauds, and more. As we jealously guide the orphans, we make them a good model for the public and a good ambassador of their countries.
Aside from the provision of physical needs, in our orphanage, we teach the orphans the word of God. We believe that a man’s need in life is more than food, cloth, and shelter. As we nurture the children in the way of the Lord, we are presenting ton society as objects of change. An individual is an element of society. As we build a life, we build the entire nation.
