QUALITY EDUCATION PROGRAM
Consider these facts; more than thirty-nine percent of the needy worldwide lack formal education. Worse still, about 15 million girls of primary school age lack the opportunity to learn to read and write in primary school, and about 10 million boys are victims. Many manage to learn to lack the necessary school supplies such as notebooks, textbooks, school uniforms, school bags, shoes or sandals, writing materials, and other necessary items to aid students’ better performance in their academics.
Many students fail woefully in academics because they lack the necessary educational support to help them catch up, which makes them fall behind and bring home poor results. The alarming shortage of schooling infrastructure and educational supplies has forced many teachers to quit their job and try other endeavors to make a living.
In response to the critical lack of quality education problem, we organized an education program specially designed to fit the students’ needs.
Our education program is named Lighting Lives Foundation. For many years, Lighting Lives Foundation has been responsible for saving both the children and adults from the sting of illiteracy and helping them gain access to quality education for free. Having recognized the overwhelming below the average level of illiteracy, we take our stand to help both young and older adults benefit from our quality education program.
We are committed to providing the underprivileged with the opportunity to enjoy the best quality education to make them more enlighten and enable them to maximize their God-given potential. The impacts of education in the lives of people cannot be overemphasized. It also plays an important role in the integral development of young children.
Through the Lighting Lives foundation, our education program year in and out contributes to the underprivileged youths’ growth and development who cannot afford expensive sound education.
The objectives and practices of our education program include:
- Provision of School Supplies to the Students.
The Lighting Lives Foundation is passionate about ensuring that students get the best education support to live their dreams to the maximum. We are dedicated to developing the already failing educational sector of many necessitous countries around the globe.
To aid better academic performance, we provide top quality school supplies, including writing materials, notebooks, textbooks, school uniforms, school bags, shoes or sandals, and other schooling items. As part of our school supplies for students, we provide daily meals for thousands of students per day. Hungry students cannot find it difficult to concentrate while studying in the classroom. We provide daily meals for the underprivileged students to ensure that they get a quality education without diverted minds.
- Construction of Modern and Conducive School Buildings.
Presently, there is a shortage of academic buildings where students can sit comfortably to learn. Of course, the governments are making deliberate efforts to construct new schools, yet, government-owned schools are very few compared to the large population. In some countries, even the few available ones do not have enough spaces to accommodate many children.
We have and are still constructing schools in compliance with the highest educational standard. We travel to many places where the children lack access to basic education to establish schools, tutorial centers, and more. Private schools are already dominating due to a shortage of government-owned schools, and it’s pitiable that only a few can afford the high tuition demanded by the private schools. For some parents who had already enrolled their children in a private school, we provide monetary support to pay the children’s tuition.
- Provision free Medical Treatment
While visiting the inmates, we provide free medical treatment for those already in critical health conditions. The inmates are not adequately cared for while in prison. Many inmates have died due to chronic disease they contacted while eating unhealthy foods or sleeping in the dirty prison rooms where they are vulnerable to different kinds of infections. We provide immediate health care for the inmates whose health status is already in an emergency. We also provide a free medical test for detecting some diseases that are potentially injurious to their health.
- Provision of Adequate Training for Teachers.

Many adults lacked the opportunity to school during their younger days. This problem cannot be traced out to poverty. We are aware that several parents, especially those living in the most impoverished villages, need urgent, efficient education assistance. Because many people are illiterate, they are left with no other options but to go into informal jobs. The Lighting Lives foundation has committed itself to ensure that the elderly are also given access to free adult education to help them reach higher life goals. We also work with parents, guiding how to help their children with their school works and manage interactions at work, home, and every other place.
- Education for the elderly.

- Private Tutoring.
Many students usually lack basic school necessities, which makes them lag in academic performances. Most of these students are not naturally dull. They are just victims of life circumstances. To provide solutions, we organize private tutoring to help them catch up with their school colleagues.
Private tutoring can students become engaged, stay focused, and accrue better understanding. So far, our private tutoring has helped many students improve in class and has also helped increase employment opportunities. Our private tutoring sessions are scheduled after school hours and are conducted by highly experienced qualified teachers.
- Scholarships.
Scholarships give students more courage and honor. It breaks down obstacles to education as a means of motivation and financial support. We give scholarships to many excellent students to help them with the cost of schooling (tuition, schooling materials, transportation, and more) and provide additional support through learning opportunities and accountability. We award annual, renewable scholarships to students to attend vocational schools, colleges, and tertiary institutions.
We also provide financial support for the families of poor students to enable physical and mental growth.
